What could a workspace in an inclusive coworking space look like, where both the need for communication and for privacy are met?

The need for privacy is fundamental, yet at the same time a dynamic concept that is constantly shaped by social, cultural, and technological influences. The individual’s freedom to choose between privacy and communication is essential for a functioning community.

The project focuses on the theme of interaction and privacy in a coworking space, where a conflict between these two concepts can arise. Our goal of creating a dynamic, adaptable situation that addresses both needs led us to develop a worktable with an add-on. Through simple manipulation, the shared workspace can be separated.

Due to its shape, the worktable can be arranged modularly in the room in a variety of ways, allowing for group work, paired work, or individual work. Different colors and materials for the partition are conceivable, creating a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
