How can you tell the story of the WK6?

The residential complex (WK) 6 is the part of Eisenhüttenstadt that is most cut off from the infrastructure and cultural offerings of the city centre. This was not always the case. We want to tell a new story about the WK6, to give a voice to those who have always lived here, but also to inspire the enthusiasm of the young people of Eisenhüttenstadt. We used the poles on the former clotheslines between the apart- ment blocks to build Hollywood swings with young people from the neighbourhood and as an exhibition space. The lines were hung with T-shirts, tablecloths and sheets that we had freshly printed – together with the residents of WK6, whose private photos provided the motifs.
