How can I raise awareness of the importance of soil and its care in cities in a fun way?

Concrete has taken over here in Berlin. Natural soil has almost disappeared from our visible environment. We are hardly aware of its importance as a universal basis of life.

The Matschberg, on the other hand, invites young and old to rediscover the secrets of our soil with all their senses. It is like a big adventure playground. On and around the hill in a park, there are several stations that allow a creative immersion in the earth: exploring, playing, dreaming and observing. Each has a different focus, such as rock types (geological) or soil organisms (biological), and offers its own perspective on what is hidden. There are also descriptive storyboards or "educational" events that celebrate the secrets of the soil through the pure joy of getting dirty.
