‘The Sound of Waste’ was founded in 2021 to combine the growing interest in records with the requirements of an ecological production model of those. The first release: ‘Dj Garden - Yellow Noise’ was published as an edition of30 records with the support of the Kunsthochschule Weißensee. The special feature of ‘The Sound of Waste is the plastic being made exclusively from organic waste. The sound and color of the records are defined by the nature of the recycled material they’re made of. With each new release, the label explores the noise genre with sustainable compositions. Even though the label can currently bring out incomprehensible sounds by the records being incapable producing conventional audio, ‘The Sound of Waste’ will keep on experimenting and releasing issue’s for the collector’s interest.
