Who gets to decide what our future will look like? As designers, we translate visions of (desirable) futures into material form. In doing so, we take on societal responsibility. The workshop “Circular Futures” offers an introduction to futures studies for designers. Moving between different scenarios of circular economies, we explore design approaches, breaking points, and forms of resilience. We develop our own pathways into possible futures. Always with this one question in the back of our minds: What could possibly go wrong?
