On 26 and 27 July, the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin will open its studios, workshops and laboratories.

This semester, a wide variety of projects have been developed as part of greenlab 2025 CO-HABITATION – Transformation of Spaces. They will be exhibited in the Voraula and in the open space between the sculpture and textile workshops.

In view of the increasingly noticeable climate changes in Berlin and Brandenburg, the challenge of the coming years is the transformation of our spaces – here at the university. In the streets and squares of the city. From the Spree to the Oder. During the summer semester, the greenlab students explored various social, ecological, geopolitical and economic aspects of the region in order to develop practical and future-oriented design concepts. Three groups worked on the following sub-topics:

_Urban greenery, biodiversity and material cycles
_Housing issues and building in existing structures
_Campus: Form-Force-Mass
