MATTER OF PLACE – From Material Cycles to Places, presented as part of the Berlin TXL MATERIAL CULTURE Series at the Tegel Urban Tech Republic, brings together projects by the greenlab at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin that explore Berlin and its surrounding area as an interwoven space of materials, life and action. The works demonstrate how design makes ecological relationships visible and actively shapes them. The focus is on the question of how regional resources can become the starting points for a circular design practice. The exhibition understands place-making as a process of jointly creating, nurturing and renewing places – through materials, collaborations and new forms of coexistence.
