Die Fläche zieht sich uber das Wasser. Sie nimmt nahezu jedes Format an. Das Wasser wird trüber und fängt an lebendig zu werden. Das Trüb-Gelbliche geht uber in gallertartige Schichten. Es ruht und wird saftiger und dichter. Die Haut marmoriert sich, verändert ihre Farbe und Haptik, je nachdem was ihr zugefügt wird. Man wartet, passt auf und nährt sie. Bis der Zeitpunkt gekommen ist, sie zu entnehmen. Sie vorsichtig abzulegen. Ihr das Wasser zu entziehen. Nun ist sie transparent, nicht Papier und nicht Leder. Sie ist flexibel, aber reißt leicht. Ihre Anmut bringt einen zum Diskurs. Sie ist Fetisch und Natur zugleich. Mich erinnert sie an lange vergangene Zeitalter. Doch kann sie heutigen Bedürfnissen nachkommen? Der Versuch einer Kollektion. Sie wird Jacke wie Hose und Hemd. Doch in ihrer „Pureness“ ist sie angreifbar. Feuchtigkeit bringt Sie zu ihrem Ursprung zurück, führt zu Auflösung. Feuchtigkeit ist Körper – Körper ist Mode. Ist dieser Aufwand des Wachsens, die Nahrung, die Zeit dieses angreifbare Material wert? Nennen wir es dann noch nachhaltiges Design?
The surface extends over the water. It accepts almost any format. The water becomes murkier and begins tocome alive. The cloudy yellowish turns into gelatinous layers. It rests and becomes juicier and denser. The
skin marbles, changes colour and touch depending on what is added to it. You wait, watch and feed it. Until the time comes to take it out. To put it down carefully. Draining it from water. Now it is transparent, not paper and not leather. It is flexible but tears easily. Its gracefulness brings you to discourse. It is fetish and nature at the same time. It reminds me of ages long gone. But can it meet today‘s needs? The attempt of a collection. It will be jacket, trousers or shirt. But in its pureness it is vulnerable. Moisture returns it to its origin, leads to dissolution. Moisture is body – body is fashion. Is this effort of growth, the food, the time worth this vulnerable material? Do we still call it sustainable design?
